In this extract from "IT Crowd", the interpreter does not understand a word of Italian but matches the pacing of her interpretation with the Italian - speaker's speech. Even though it is a comedic exaggeration, it shows how a confident but unqualified interpreter can communicate wrong information and create two different conversations, generating counter-productive results.
